Skilled Nursing Care

Companion & Personal Care
Our companion caregivers are more than helpers—they’re steady, trusted presences in the lives of our patients. Family Caregiver Program
Assisting your family member can become a full-time job. That’s why we proudly offer a Family Caregiver Program that allows spouses, relatives, and even close friends to be compensated for the care they already provide to a loved one.
If you’re helping a family member with daily living tasks, you may be eligible to receive an hourly wage for your support—turning your care into both an act of love and a meaningful source of income.
Who is family?
Family, in this program, is defined broadly. Whether you’re a spouse, sibling, adult child, cousin, or a trusted friend, you may qualify if you’re actively providing in-home care. The number of hours you’ll work is determined by the patient’s physician, who will assess their health needs and prescribe an appropriate amount of care. This can range from just a few hours a day to around-the-clock assistance.
Do I need to be certified?
No prior license or certification is needed to become a family caregiver. We make the process simple. Unifi provides free, easy-to-follow training right in your home, ensuring that you feel confident and supported as you begin caregiving.
What about other assistance?
If you or your loved one prefers to receive care from someone outside the family, that’s perfectly okay too. Unifi also offers a team of highly trained, compassionate nurses and health aides ready to step in and provide expert, personalized care.
How do I find a nurse?
To make the process seamless, every family caregiver is paired with a dedicated Nurse Case Manager. This nurse will be your point of contact for everything—from care coordination to answering questions, building care plans, and providing guidance along the way. You’ll never feel like you’re navigating this alone.
